  DAY 24: Solo Duty On this day I was assigned by our mentor Ma'am Laila in the Reference & Information Services section as she is not around in the office due for several meetings outside. My task in this section is to email all students in every departments the pressreader manual, a guide for registering in the new  Online  Database of Magazines and Newspapers (National and Foreign). Other task is to answer students and outside researchers queries. I've been here the rest of the day. The day went well and it is a one of my great experience so far. See you on the next blog :)

DAY 23: Reshooting Day 3 Day 23 is our 3rd Day of the reshooting of the Virtual Tour video, we are now inside the first floor of the library. We captured every important details and area that will inform students, personnel, and viewers on what it is for. Sir Bryll (University Library personnel) assisted us for us to know every corner of the library, he was also one of the actors. Today's task is a great experience, library personnel are very cooperative and kind. Our day and tasks went well as planned. That's all for today:) #DAY3shooting  

  DAY 22: FRONT DESK DUTIES — Reference & Information Services section On this day, Ma'am Laila Belardo (our mentor) was on meeting outside the university. She assigned us in the Reference & Information Services section. Our task in this section is to entertain and answer queries of university students researchers as well the outside researchers. We also prepare our DTRs and attendance every time that there are no researchers that we need to entertain and answer. We  were here  the whole day since there is a electric power interruption, some offices in the library are not operating on this hours.   Day 21: Quality checking — Manual testing  On this day, Sir Rollie Montealegre (one of our mentor) assigned our team as to be the Quality assurance Team, our task was to test the User Guide/Manual that he assigned to the Developers Team. The Manual was about the Technical and Development Documentation regarding the system that they are currently working. After the testing process, Sir Rollie let us to take note of all the steps we successfully run. He gave us chance to share our thoughts, comments, and suggestions to make improvements on the said Technical and Development Documentation. This day's task is a good opportunity to everyone of us to understand different areas in the workplace. Other task on this day are done that leaves a new experience and knowledge to me and my team.   Day 20: Making Receipts Day 20 is just same with other days, we were assigned in the Network & Server Room. Our task on this day is to create, print, cut and write Temporary receipts for outside researchers. This is to be turned over to the  Reference & Information Services Section of the  University Library. We prepared more copies on this day. After this, our mentors let us to have a break for a moment. This day have thought me to be patience, accept different works and work productively.  DAY 19: Shooting Day 2 This day's task is the continuation of the reshooting of the virtual tour video. Together with my teammates, we reshot the video introduction which it starts at the BU torch grounds.  This day was full of excitement and fun, we met random students as they become the actors in the video. My realization on this day is that OJT is not about learning new skills and work on the workplace but also enhances communication skills and will also gives you an opportunity to meet and collaborate with other people.   DAY 19: Reshooting of Virtual Tour Videos On this day, I was assigned again in reshooting the Bicol University Library virtual tour videos together with my teammates Naz and Majadas. We are required to reshoot every piece of the videos since the old videos we have has been corrupted due to the device/laptop we used. We started from the beginning and we make sure to have back up copies of the new videos taken. What I have learned on this scenario is that, backing up files is really important to avoid repeating task in the future (hehe). That's all for today, see you on the next blog.  #REpeatREshoot
